February — Still dry and comfortable. Chinese New Year brings spectacular dragon parades and fireworks to Yaowarat (Chinatown). Book hotels early as prices tick up.
March — Temperatures begin climbing toward 35 °C+. Still manageable but start your sightseeing early to avoid midday heat. The last of the cool-season feel.
April — Bangkok's hottest month: 38–40 °C. Also home to Songkran (April 13–15) — the Thai New Year water festival. The entire city becomes a giant water fight. Worth the heat if you're up for it.

July — Full monsoon. Flooded streets possible in low-lying areas. Morning sightseeing is fine, afternoons can be wet. Good for budget travelers.
August — Similar to July. Bangkok's world-class malls, temples, and museums keep things interesting regardless of rain.
September — Wettest month of the year. Flash flooding risk is highest. Best avoided for first-time visitors who want outdoor activities.
October — Rain eases off. Good shoulder season — prices remain low but weather improves. Loi Krathong approaches at month's end.
November — Dry season returns! Temperatures fall to 27–32 °C. Loi Krathong (exact date follows lunar calendar) sees locals float lotus-shaped lanterns on the Chao Phraya — one of Southeast Asia's most magical nights.
December — Peak season. Festive lights, cool evenings, King's birthday celebrations. Busiest and most expensive time, but the city is genuinely at its prettiest.

November, December, and January are the golden window: dry, cool enough to be comfortable, and full of cultural energy. If you specifically want Songkran, April is unmissable despite the heat.
